Watching Fruitvale Station changed my outlook on police. For the worse. My biggest issue with the police is their "profiling." I already think they do unnecessary things when it comes down to the color of a person’s skin, how a person is dressed, or how they look.

Police are supposed to keep peace and order, and ultimately, keep everyone safe. However, more than often, police are starting to hurt people. And their reason? Because some fee as if they can just do whatever they want.

As you may know, one of the leading death causes of men is smoking. Stress is something everyone encounters in their life, and some may say that lighting one can make their day less stressful. Well, it will even be more stressful when he/she can only live 14 years less than non-smokers, the average of how long a non smoker live rather than a smoker.

Just for being human we are prone to health issues, but some health issues are more gender specific than others. For example, females can’t have prostate cancer because they don’t have prostate glands and males can’t have cervical cancer because they don’t have a cervix. Some common health issues for men are: athlete’s foot, foreskin, prostate health, testicular health, and urinary tract infections. One rare male health issue is Tinea Cruis. Another name for this is, Jock Itch, a fungal infection caused by tight clothes that don’t allow air to circulate around the body.

I feel it's never right for a woman, man, or even a child to feel like they have to sell their body because they have no other way to get any money. I also, feel it doesn’t make any sense for them to just be sent to jail; that alone doesn’t solve anything. All it does in my eyes is make them feel like less of a person. Where is the lesson in that? They have to be taught that there are other ways; more positive ways to get money.

Do you ever wake up and tell yourself, “I’m going to conserve water when I brush my teeth this morning.” Or do you let the water keep running while you brush? Do you ever take shorter showers to conserve water or do you take your time to enjoy the extra steam? Water is an essential resource on Earth making up seventy percent of the Earth’s surface.

Earth Day is a day where people have participated in a green act, such as planting a garden or other things that will benefits the environment. Earth Day is on April 22, but as the saying goes, every day is Earth Day. Earth Day began with a bang in 1970 as a nationwide protest and has since evolved into a global phenomenon, with thousands of events and initiatives engaging millions of people and spurring additional action.

On March 20th, 2013 the Health Department interns presented their statements of wellness.  Wellness means to take responsibility for the quality of one’s life. A statement of wellness could be a speech/poem, however you would like to express your opinion of wellness.  Many people had different ways that they expressed their meaning of wellness.  Some expressed it in video, some expressed it in words, the point is they showed their way of wellness.  Some people felt that writing helps express your feelings so that you won’t lash out on others, which could portray the opposite of wellness.

Just because you can't physically see something, doesn’t mean it can't affect you. For example, the wind blows and air is felt, a person can't see the wind, but can feel the breeze. And if bad chemicals are in the wind and we breathe bad air. Like I said just because something isn’t able to be seen, doesn’t mean it can’t affect you.

Pollution is not something people usually worry about in their day to day life, but it really is a big issue. First off, there's different kinds of pollution: water pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution, thermal pollution and lots more. The one that most people know is air pollution, this is when the air is filled with toxics and other chemicals that we humans cannot breathe in. We breathe in oxygen and when the air is filled with other things like carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides we can damage our lungs.

One day I was flipping through the TV and I stopped it on the Tyra Banks show. There was this person eating toilet paper, I thought to myself, they're crazy!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, at first I thought it was fake, but the girl on the show told Tyra she was addicted and claimed it tasted good! She also mentioned how she couldn't use the bathroom because the paper wasn't digesting.
